Our team was tasked by a global manufacturer and marketer to perform an Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance audit at one of their UK facilities. This site is not only a manufacturer but also a supplier and distributor, making the audit particularly complex. The categories in scope included chemical safety, laser safety, fire safety, machinery, and equipment, among others. Our experienced EHS team, utilizing Antea Group’s standard Global EHS Audit Protocol, aimed to finalize the audit scope and achieve the assignment's objectives with precision and efficiency.

To kick off the project, we organized a detailed call between our client and the Antea Group team. This initial discussion was crucial for outlining the audit process and ensuring a smooth, efficient operation. The on-site audit was conducted over two full days, during which the facility remained fully operational to minimize disruption. Our audit included an on-site kickoff meeting, an exhaustive site walkthrough, employee interviews, documentation reviews, and a closing meeting to summarize the findings. Throughout these two days, we covered a wide array of topics and provided immediate feedback when necessary.

Our EHS team excelled in gathering relevant information from the client. During the site visit, we used a standardized form to facilitate efficient data collection, and we captured photographs to support our findings. The final audit report was comprehensive, detailing specific instances of non-compliance with regulatory citations and offering clear recommendations for corrective actions. Additionally, we included best practice recommendations to help the facility go beyond mere compliance and strive for operational excellence.
