Get to know Graham...

What is your favorite thing about being a Due Diligence Practitioner?
The fast pace and variety of projects - having to think on your feet.

What is the most interesting project you’ve ever worked on?
A confidential project for a Canadian investor acquiring a large portfolio of orange and lemon farms across the Iberian Peninsula. Sadly, as we worked with a trusted partner in Spain, I didn’t get the pleasure of completing any of the site visits!

What is a key ingredient for success as a due diligence practitioner?
Being able to juggle multiple projects under pressure, whilst maintaining focus and keeping your clients informed.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Seeing colleagues grow and develop their careers as they learn and understand how to be better consultants.

If someone at a party asks what you do, how to you respond?
‘Environmental Due Diligence’ – it usually requires quite a bit of explanation, but is always a good talking point!

Just for Fun

What surprises people about your job?
The value of assets / deals that we advise and support on – typically anything from £1m to £1bn.

If you could develop a new solution for transactional due diligence what would it be?
An App to record information from a site audit which downloads directly into a report.

What TV show character do you identify most with?
Clark Griswald (Chevy Chase) from the National Lampoon series.

If you had one month off, where would you go or what would you do?
I’d walk the Kungsleden Trail, a 450-kilometre trek through Northern Sweden.

Is there something unique that people might not know about you? (hobbies, hidden talents, etc.)
As a child, I started collecting eggcups, and have over 350.

What is your most treasured possession?
My grandad’s World War II pilot’s flying jacket.
